Does anyone else have this problem? I've got 5 and they all do this. I thought mine was dirty in my purse or something, I had no idea it was molding. Ew. I'm not a chemical or cosmetic chemist, but I'm slowly learning about cosmetic chemistry just to have fun. I looked for the ingredients for the EOS lips balms and found that they do not contain a single preservative. So, unfortunately, things like this could be a little more likely than in products containing preservatives. That's why I don't put my nose on anything labeled as a condom. Of course, there may be too much, but while many of our products have to be packaged and shipped across the country and internationally before sitting on a shelf, we need preservatives otherwise we're going to get sick. Just a note from me, I use "all" and "fresh" products as much as possible, but everything in moderation.... I love my EOS lipstick and I use it regularly. I've been out of town the last few days, but I'm home now and I went to use it this morning. Without looking, I started to rub it on my lips and noticed a rare odor of mold, I looked down and saw this raw green everywhere. I immediately left and he scrutinized my mouth. Does anyone else have one to do this? I've never seen this happen to mine. Was yours stored in a hot, wet place? I've had some for over a year and I haven't experienced this... thank God. I'm a little worried. I've had three of these and this has never happened. Now I'm paranoid even if hahah! Def reports what the company says. They proudly announce that they don't use preservatives, but they can be like "I'm sorry, you're SOL" even if it's not the best way they respond. It's been 24 hours and I haven't heard from them by e-mail yet. I put it on Twitter and his answer was by email... but so far nothing. Ewww! Sucky you noticed after applying. :/ I realized the last time I used it that the smell was not like when I first got it. It is the summer fruit and smell impressive at the beginning and the last time I used it only smells like generic chapstick/balm. Now mold :(Ewww. I'm gonna check my EOS lips now. Well that's... disgusting. I'm still going to my unnatural preservative filled with non-vegan lipgloss :PI has had one since February and there are no signs of mold but I share it with my two years old. Now I'm worried! Thank you for sharing your good heads. I'll probably not buy any more. Mold scared me so much. I have had the tangerine medicated for months [6ish] and its free mold! I wonder if the phenol has anything to do with it? Mine started to smell weird, so I threw it... I'm glad I did it now. o.o. I just noticed recently that the smell was off, like it was just a regular balm, and I figured it was because I was going down in the lipstick so I was losing the smell of "summer fruit." OMG!
